Partner Beta Conversion

Thank you for participating in our Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Beta program and helping make Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online even better!

The Conversion Period for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Beta organizations expired on February 18, 2011. The instructions below are intended to assist those who have previously converted from Beta to a full subscription.

Timing of Your Beta Conversion

Here is how your Beta conversion process will work:

  • For two months starting on the date you make the election to convert from Beta, you will not be charged a subscription fee for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online service.
  • For the first part of this two month period (approximately two to four weeks), you will continue to access the Beta version of the service. After that, your Beta organization will be migrated automatically to the released version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.
  • After this two month period, if you are a Microsoft Registered Partner, we will begin charging you at your monthly subscription rate.

For example, if you make the election to convert your Beta organization to a full subscription on February 1, 2011:

  • You will not be charged for your subscription for two months from February 1st.
  • From February 1st to February 14th, you will continue to use your Beta version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.
  • On February 14th, your organization will be upgraded to the released version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.
  • On April 1, 2011 (two months after election), you will begin your paid subscription.

How to Convert Your Beta Subscription

To convert your Beta organization to a full subscription of the newest version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, you must follow these steps in the exact order written. Please read all the steps before starting the process.

  • To ensure you are charged only for the correct number of user licenses, make sure you set the number of licenses you wish to include in your subscription in the Subscription Management section of the application. To reduce the number of licenses from what you have shown under “Purchased” in the Subscription Management page, you must contact our Billing Support team by telephone – click here to find your local telephone number.
  • To initiate your Beta conversion, you will be asked to enter a credit card number. We will not charge your credit card during the two month free period nor will it be charged if you are qualified for one of the special partner offers with free seats.
  • Bookmark this page, as you will have to return here to complete the Partner Redemption Form after accepting the Beta conversion offer in order to complete the conversion process and receive your unique partner pricing.

SPECIAL NOTE - Using Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook - After your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Beta organization is upgraded to the released version (released on January 17, 2011), Beta versions of Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook will no longer function. To resolve this, you must perform two steps:

  • Manually uninstall each Beta instance of Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook. If you are running Windows 7 or Windows Vista, in Control Panel, under "Programs", click "Uninstall a Program", choose "Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook", and then click "Uninstall". If you are using Windows XP, in Control Panel, click "Add/Remove Programs", choose "Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook", and then click "Remove".
  • After uninstalling the previous version, the released version of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook software must be installed instead. Click here to install the new version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook.
